Plan by staff or by service user
Switch the week between a staff view and a service-user view to spot gaps and double bookings. Shift types, travel buffers and locations are set once and reused.
- Weekly planner with staff and service-user views
- Shift templates and travel buffers
- Coverage indicators per day
- Draft rota review before publishing

Published to the app, with notifications
When you publish, staff receive the rota in the ZiosCare app and by email with calendar invites. Open shifts are broadcast to eligible people, who accept from their phone. Changes reach everyone without a phone round.
- Push notifications and email on publish
- Open-shift broadcast with accept and reject
- Calendar invites and weekly schedule emails
- Service users can see their planned visits

Attendance and leave in the same place
Check-ins flow into attendance registers. Leave requests show their effect on coverage before a manager approves them. Exceptions are approved with a note, so payroll and the rota agree.
- Check-in and check-out from the app
- Daily and monthly attendance registers
- Leave requests with coverage risk shown
- Exception approvals with an audit trail

Questions people ask
- How do staff see their rota?
- In the ZiosCare mobile app on iOS or Android, with the day, the week and upcoming shifts. They also get notifications when a rota is published or an open shift becomes available.
- Can staff pick up open shifts?
- Yes. Coordinators broadcast an open shift to eligible staff; the first to accept gets it, and the rota updates for everyone.
- Does it do check-in and check-out?
- Yes. Each shift or visit has check-in and check-out from the app, recorded against the rota for attendance and exception handling.
- Can I share a draft before publishing?
- Yes. Share a draft rota for availability feedback, collect responses, then publish the main rota. Staff receive the published version by email and in the app.
- Can I export the rota?
- Yes. Export to CSV, send calendar invites, or email weekly schedules to staff and to service users.
